Ashcliffe Press
Ashcliffe Press is a proudly independent, author-led imprint based in the UK, devoted to telling emotionally rich, genre-blurring love stories with queer and contemporary heart. We champion the tender, the complex, and the quietly powerful - stories where longing lingers, characters feel real, and love takes unexpected forms. We specialise in fiction that blends romance, memory, and identity - often with a lyrical tone, a strong sense of place, and a touch of the magical or melancholic. Our books are for readers who crave depth, connection, and characters who stay with you long after the last page.

All About Alys
Hi, I’m Alys Mykels - author, publisher, publicist, narrator, and romantic at heart.I write lyrical, emotionally-charged love stories about people who feel too much, run away too fast, and try again anyway. My work centres queer characters, found families, small towns with secrets, and the slow, beautiful ache of becoming known.Based in the UK, I founded Ashcliffe Press as a way to bring stories like mine into the world with full creative freedom. It's a one-woman operation powered by stubborn hope, spreadsheets, sea air, and strong cups of tea. When I’m not writing or up to my elbows in publicity/publishing/narrating, you’ll usually find me haunting secondhand bookshops, daydreaming about fictional cafés, or talking about romance on TikTok.I believe in ghost stories, happy endings, and the quiet magic of letting yourself be loved.
